A word from our co-founder: A future of protection

November 25, 2017

"Every year thousands of Olive Ridley sea turtles come to nest in this undiscovered paradise. Lately, the turtles have face intense human pressure leading up to death. Poaching their eggs (an illegal activity) is stronger than ever, due to the high market value. Via Casa Congo we aspire to flip the coin, conserve nature by converting it into an asset to boost the local economy. Join our movement to maintain beautiful creatures alive."

Beautiful words from our Built Environments Director and Co-Founder Sol Lewites. Astillero has a unique, and incredibly precious ecosystem, and we want to define a future where it's protection also means prosperity for the people who live here. Join our movement and help us make conservation an opportunity not a sacrifice.
